Family Funday - Sunday 4th October

If you are looking for a fun packed day out with guaranteed excitement, then look no further than Kelso Races.

Family Funday on Sunday 4^th October is possibly the best value day out in the Borders. There’s plenty of FREE parking, kids 16 and under (accompanied by an adult) get in for FREE and once in, there is plenty of FREE entertainment for children of all ages.

This year, Kelso Races are introducing some new and exciting attractions. Within our BIGGEST ever line up of kids entertainment there will be a horse simulator, rodeo bull, bungee run and penalty shoot out competition. The old favorites will also be making a return - fairground rides, pony rides and face painting. Pinky the Flamingo will be greeting children in the paddock and there will be plenty of opportunity to ‘clown around’ at the Circus Workshop.

We have not forgotten the adults either - with seven exciting races and betting on a horse starting from just £1, you could even walk away with more money in your pocket than you started with.

Before the official racing starts there will be the Border Principals race – a fiercely competitive five furlong race between principals from most Borders towns for the Perpetual Trophy.  Straight after the Principal race we have 2 pony races featuring the best children pony racers in the country.

If you have never been racing before, this action packed day - which has been blessed with good weather for the last few years - is the perfect introduction to the sport.
